Shelley believes in working hard, working smart, and having a great time along the way! She never tires of being a part of passionate, empowered teams that make a positive difference in the world. She has been fortunate to work with teams dedicated to sustainable development in third world countries, to the improvement our national healthcare system, and to better meeting our children’s learning needs in the classroom. She started her career as an intern at the U.S. Agency for International Development and has spent the latter part of her career building teams and solutions to improve our government healthcare systems. Shelley holds an M.S. degree in Information Systems from George Washington University and a B.A. degree in International Relations and French from Carroll College. She also currently serves as an Advisory Board Member at the North Carroll Community School in Westminster, MD. In addition to homemade cookies, Shelley loves a great quote! Her favorite poet right now is Amanda Gorman. (...Isn’t she everyone’s?!) "For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it."
